Long 445 manual

Yeah that's my beast TrevorJ, it's a rough copy of the Fiat built in Romania and hence called a Romanian Fiat. I have made some calls and I can get a brand new motor from the factory in Romania for between $4000-5000 or a rebuilt short engine for $3300. But the problem is getting the old one out and the new one in. The Fiat book is close in some places but differs in others especially as my tractor has an 8 speed shuttle drive transmission as it was recommended when the tractor was bought new as it also has an under axle blade hence it's good being able to reverse at the same speeds you go forward (handy when pushing up fires). The problem is that there is a heap of gears in the sump that I don't know the purpose of little lone how they go together or how to get them out, but I believe they are a result of the shuttle box.

The book you found doesn't cover the 640DTC model, which I have, but it does cover the 640CDT model which is close to the DTC model but doesn't have 4WD; it also doesn't cover the shuttle drive but the shuttle drive model only varies from the standard model in the gearbox and no where else. The best bit of news is that from what I have heard is that the engine is the same in all models so it doesn't matter which book I get. So thank you!
