MANUAL GUIDE i a user-friendly conversational programming platform that makes it easy to perform create part programs right on the shop floor. The innovative programming enables development from a drawing to a production part in a very short time. Thanks to MANUAL GUIDE i, FANUC CNCs can be programmed very easily and quickly, for turning, milling and compound machining. Self-explanatory menus and graphic simulations guide the user through the programming, producing highly efficient results even for complex machining processes. MANUAL GUIDE i software is based on the ISO code format and has an ergonomic CNC user interface for programming cycles. It uses a graphical user interface with user-friendly icons which allow you to interactively create part programs in just a few steps. All of the relevant information is displayed on one CNC screen.

Having to constantly change between screens is thus avoided as is the risk of getting lost in the numerous pop-up screens. Features:. Operator friendly programming environment. Advanced Cycle Machining (Turning and Milling). Powerful profile calculation.

Seamless environment switching. Tool management function. Set-up guidance. Residual cutting. Background machining simulation Need some help getting started with MANUAL GUIDE i?

Just wondering could there be a parameter library in my Fanuc OT control that I can't see by pressing the parameter key and scrolling? The reason I ask is I though I don't have a parameter manual my maintenance manuals list all the parameters I can find on the screen, yet flipping all the pages and reading the descriptions I can't find parameters for turning down the rapid feed rates or any acceleration deceleration parameters. My machine only displays parameters 001-999 and 8100-8299. I found an 0i parameter list that shows 1400's and 1600's controlling these settings.

Unfortunately my controller is a 1993 that appears to be 2 years before Fanucs had the descriptions on the screen next to the parameter numbers. My controller doesn't have a system key or a soft key for parameter number search. Horrible subject, I stumbled over that, too. In my case there was a set of X and Z parameters in a mask that prevented the tool from moving closer towards the chuck than, what was it, 26 and 10 mm, respectively (or so). The programmer made codes with the tool moving from center outwards for planing! I almost went berserk since I wasn’t able ONE to set the values to Zero, and TWO to find back to that page. The boss was the programmer.

He had absolutely no sense for giving me a chance on the issue, so I had to watch the inserts go whining with an cutting angle of 5 degrees! There must be access to those parameters. Problem is that paperwork and control are never made by the same person. You need a knowledgeable Fanuc representative.
