Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having a problem with the mower. I will be happy to assist you. Replacing the brake can be a little tricky. The reason is the flywheel has to be removed. First, disconnect the spark plug wire.
Then remove the fuel tank. Now you have to remove the blower housing on the top of the engine.
Next, the flywheel has to be removed. I found a video that shows how to remove the flywheel. Click to watch the video. Once the flywheel is removed, you have access to the brake.
Remove the bolts that secure it to the engine and it should come off. Next, install the brake and reassemble in the reverse order.
